Lala
Lala is Ladybird’s 400th rescue! Yippee!
Ladybird rescued Lala from Hamilton Animal Control where she found herself as a stray. Lala was pregnant when we rescued her. The first night she was in her foster home, Lala escaped the house by clawing through a window screen. She was missing for 10 days before we got a call from someone who found Lala in her garage. Lala had been hanging around the area for a few days, and had given birth in the finder’s garage. One baby was found deceased, and two other live babies were found but Lala wasn’t looking after them. A neighbour contacted someone they know who looks after orphaned kittens. A fourth baby was breech and stuck coming out of poor Lala. The minute we got the call , we called Lala’s foster home right away and she rushed over to pick up Lala and take her to the vet. The vet removed the breech baby, but sadly, the baby had already passed away. The vet has told us that there were no other babies inside, but Lala had an infection, so she was put on medication and was monitored at the clinic for the night. Lala went back to her foster home soon after as she was eating, drinking and in good spirits. She was spayed a few weeks later, and she is now ready to find her forever home! We’re so glad she will never have to go through another traumatic pregnancy/birth again.
Lala gets along with the dog and other cats in her foster home.
Here’s a note from her foster mom:
“Lala is a beautiful, friendly little cat that rarely sits still and loves lots of rubbing, attention, and love! Her favourite things to do are use her scatching posts, and play with any petting hands! Lala’s distinctive cleft lip gives her face a unique character, and requires no medication or special care. She will make a wonderful addition to some lucky family!”
Lala found her forever home with wonderful people!
