Edith
We rescued Edith from Hamilton Animal Control where she ended up after her owners signed her over. She’s a lovely and calm bunny, who loves to explore!
Here’s a report from Edith’s foster home:
“Edith is such a beautiful, neat, and sweet rabbit. She has such a wonderful personality that is equal parts inquisitive, affectionate, and relaxed. She loves being able to free range in the basement, and always goes to her pen to eat and use the litter box. She takes about the same amount of care as a cat in my opinion, and provides more affection!
She is very neat and hasn’t made any messes outside of her pen. She loves lounging on the couches and watching TV with me. She doesn’t like being held much, but she enjoys cuddling nearby, cleaning my hair, and grooming my arms, legs and feet.
Edith would do best in a home where she had free roam of a room or the whole house. She’s neat and trustworthy, so long as you bunny-proof your baseboards and wires. She has never nipped or bit me, because she would rather lavish me with bunny kisses. She’s really friendly with strangers and gets comfortable quickly. She’s not shy at all, whether with people or cats.
Edith is an absolute darling who deserves a wonderful Forever Home.”
We ask that our rabbits not be kept in the types of rabbit cages they sell in pet stores. Our fostered rabbits are housed in x-pens or similar enclosures so they have lots of room to move around when they aren’t out for floor time. Commercially made pet store rabbit cages are far too small to allow rabbits to stretch out and move around with ease.
Here are some great websites outlining alternative rabbit housing using x pens and similar enclosures.
