Marigold
We rescued Marigold from Hamilton Animal Control. Marigold was found as a stray. She’s sooo friendly, she never stops purring and rolling and head bonking. Such a sweetie!
Marigold was spayed and she’s now ready to find her forever home!
Here’s a personality report from Marigold’s foster home:
“Marigold is a gorgeous girl inside and out. She is such a fun kitty who is full of kitten spunk! Marigold is always exploring and you should see this girl jump!
When Marigold first arrived she did not know what to do with toys, and now she loves them and does not stop playing.
Marigold is so adaptable and easy going. She fit into foster home life right away. There is something extra special about this girl and I would have to say Marigold has been the easiest foster kitty I have had so far.
Marigold and her foster brother Nico(cat) get a long great! They hit it off right away and are always playing together. My cranky girl Poppy(cat) is not a fan of having a kitten around and Marigold respects that and keeps her space. They have had a few little spats, but for the most part she just keeps her distance. Marigold would love to go to a home with a cat friend who will play with her and keep her busy.
That being said, I think Marigold would also be ok as an only cat. She is good at keeping herself occupied and happy.
Marigold is not a big fan of dogs. I always joke that my dog Finn is a “Cat Whisperer” because cats usually fall in love with him and any foster cat that comes into the house who appears not to like dogs or is nervous of dogs, does not take long to warm up to him and then they are following him around and cuddling with him. Finn has not been able to win Marigold over though. She seems to be a bit curious but overall she just stays away.
That being said, I think Marigold could go to a home with the right dog who is very cat experienced. A dog who will not pay attention to her and who will give her the time and space she needs and let her come to them is a must. Other than that, a dog would be too stressful for her.
This little girl is such a chatty kitty. She loves to have conversations and will inform you of her meal times. She is not to be trusted though because if Marigold had her way it would be meal time all day, every day. She loves her food and she gobbles it up so fast like she hasn’t eaten in days (when in face she gets two meals a day!). She came to me quite skinny, and she is still very petite but she is starting to put on some weight.
If you are looking for a spunky, fun loving kitty to add lots of love and laughter into your family, please consider adopting Marigold.”
Marigold has been adopted! Yay, Marigold!
