Monkey
* Monkey found his forever home with lovely people! *
Monkey came into Hamilton Animal Services as a stray. He arrived suffering from a serious upper respiratory virus, and a large mass on one of his eyes. Poor little guy was such a mess! But he was still eating, drinking, purring and playing like nothing was wrong. For such a young kitten, Monkey is quite the little trooper!
We took Monkey straight from HAS to see Dr. Fleming at Guelph Animal Hospital. Dr. Fleming thought Monkey’s eye may have ruptured and then healed, leaving it in the condition it was in. Staff at the clinic worked hard to get Monkey over the respiratory virus so he could be healthy enough for surgery. Once he was feeling better, Dr. Fleming was able to remove the eye, and neuter Monkey at the same time. Monkey did really well during surgery and he recovered perfectly. We’d like to thank Dr. Fleming and her staff for taking such great care of this sweet boy.
Monkey is now ready to find his forever home!
We’re asking that Monkey be adopted to a home where he has at least one other cat to be friends with. A single kitten is a lonely kitten!
Here’s a note from Monkey’s foster home:
“Monkey is such a sweet boy! Once he comes out of his shell, he loves to take naps with his human!
He’s very energetic and loves to play with EVERYTHING! His loss of an eye doesn’t hold him back from anything. Although he doesn’t like being picked up, he loves to sit on your shoulders while purring loud. He hasn’t been exposed to many dogs so it may take some time to warm up to them. Monkey loves other cats(as long as they like him). He’s currently being fostered with 3 other cats and they absolutely love each other and get along great!”
Please adopt Monkey!
