Veronica
* Veronica found her forever home with lovely people! *
Veronica was found as a stray and ended up at Toronto Animal Services. She was severely infested with fleas. Shelter staff administered flea treatment and spayed her. Her fur is still recovering from the flea infestation, but she’s feeling, and looking a lot better than when she first arrived at the shelter.
We rescued Veronica from TAS and she’s now settling in at her foster home. She had a vet visit and was given a clean bill of health. Veronica is now ready to find her forever home!
Here’s a note from her foster mom:
“Miss Veronica has made huge improvements over the last 3 weeks. She is now feeling frisky and happy after her last flea treatment. The fur on her back has now fully grown in. She is a greedy little lady when it comes to food. She takes her
morning greens and blueberries seriously. She will also pop out of nowhere when she hears a treat bag.
She loves thumping around the house and loves little scratches between her ears. She is not too keen on being picked up, but she will crawl onto your lap if sitting on her level. She really is a sweet little thing.
She also loves cardboard boxes with cutouts. She likes to scratch and hide out in them.
She is now well litter trained. As long as she has a nightlight, there are no accidents in her pen in the night.
She has been a true pleasure to have.”
Our fostered rabbits are housed in x-pens or similar enclosures so they have lots of room to move around when they aren’t out for floor time. Commercially made pet store rabbit cages are far too small to allow rabbits to stretch out and move around with ease.
Here are some great websites outlining alternative rabbit housing using x pens and similar enclosures.
