Bash
* Beckett and Bash have been adopted by their foster home! Yay! *
On October 14th, we rescued a kitten named Beckett from Hamilton Animal Services. You can read Beckett’s story here.
A few days later, we got word from HAS staff that another kitten who looked exactly like Beckett had been brought in from the same address. We were more than happy to rescue this kitten and reunite him with his brother. They are pretty happy to be back together!
Welcome Bash! We’re so happy you’re here and that we could reunite you with your brother!
Bash and Beckett will be available for adoption soon.
November 12/18 UPDATE:
Bash has been suffering from a serious bout of Panleukopenia. He’s been hospitalized for several days, and he’s still not quite out of the woods yet. If you were considering donating to Ladybird, now is the time! Bash’s vet bills are piling up, and we need your help!
November 17th, 2018 UPDATE
Bash is home from the vet! Thank you for all the well wishes and love for him.
December 23rd, 2018 Update from Bash’s foster mom:
“Everyone has been asking for a Bash update, so here he is! We are on day 35 of being back home and there have been some ups and downs but he is doing amazing. He is up to 3 pounds and was able to get a few vaccinations this week. I’ve been shy about posting his updates because of the overwhelming amount of DM’s I received during Bash’s panluk scare. He was in vet care for 14 days and although ALL messages were sent with positive intent, it was a hard to hear what I “should” or “shouldn’t” be doing for Bash. I didn’t have a say on how Bash was going to be helped, what meds he was on, what he was being offered to eat… Now that Bash is home and it is my call on how I should treat current or future health problems, I didn’t want to broadcast him and have my inboxed filled with opinions. Being a foster mama is hard. It’s emotionally draining, and mentally exhausting, it’s heart breaking but it’s also so fucking rewarding that I wouldn’t trade a second I’ve had with him or Beckett. Bash is doing SO well, he and Beckett are happy, healthy, and will soon be on the journey to find their forever home together. Thank you to everyone who invested their hearts into Bash’s recovery. It meant the world to both of us.”
