Jonah
* Jonah found his forever home with lovely people! *
Jonah was found on the streets of Hamilton, badly injured and not walking. Hamilton Animal Services was called and they brought Jonah straight to the vet. An xray showed that Jonah had a broken pelvis. Poor guy! It’s not known if he was hit by a car, or was injured in another way, but thankfully he was found and brought to safety.
We got Jonah out of HAS and took him to Glanbrook Veterinary Services where he was been put on pain medication and where he got some cage rest. He was then moved to a foster home where he got lots of love and care from his foster mom, and his injury healed up perfectly. Jonah is now ready to find his forever home!
Jonah has endless energy, and his adopters must be willing to entertain him with toys and interactive play. He can get bored easily and will get into things he shouldn’t. Jonah would do best as the only animal in the home, and a home with small children would not be a good fit for him.
Here’s a note from Jonah’s foster mom:
“Mr. Jonah is a super friendly, energetic kitty who happily greets anyone who visits. He is very playful, as I am reminded of this every day by the number of toys strewn throughout the house. He is affectionate … on his terms. He follows me everywhere and is constantly rubbing against my legs. He adores an ear scratch and happily allows anyone to pet him, even at their first meeting. He isn’t much of a cuddler although he lays beside me when I’m watching TV and he does sleep on the side of the bed during the night so I think he could be, given time. We do have our disagreements, however – he insists on drinking from my water glass even though he has his own bowl and he likes to paw at the TV when he notices something moving on screen. Yes, it’s kinda cute but he makes a better door than a window! All in all, Jonah is very, very sweet and everyone he has met, mentions how friendly he is. He is a loyal kitty who will keep you giggling.”
