Johnnie
* Johnnie found her forever home with a wonderful person! Yippee! *
Johnnie ended up at Hamilton Animal Services when her owner passed away. She’s a shy girl, but she’ll give you head bonks and purrs when she gets to know you.
Johnnie received a clean bill of health at the vet on her rescue day, and after a couple of weeks in her foster home, she’s now ready to find her forever home!
Here’s a report from Johnnie’s foster mom:
“Johnnie is quite possibly the best quarantine cat a person could ask for. She would love for nothing more than to snuggle all day.
She hasn’t been here long enough to know her personality very well, but so far she’s an absolute sweetheart.
When she first arrived, she hid under the chair, only coming out for food. Now, 2 weeks later, she still sleeps under the chair at night, but has been out exploring and snuggling. She will run for the safety of the chair when she hears someone coming down the hall, but she is slowly becoming less scared.
She is quite chirpy in the morning, demanding pats and snuggles before breakfast. She rolls around on the floor until you give her a pat.
She also loves a good snuggle in the evenings, after she tells you all about her day. She will knead your tummy until she is comfy enough to settle in (bonus weight loss regime).
She hasn’t been around other cats or dogs, so unsure how she will do. Probably would be best as an only pet in a house with no children. She is quite skittish until she settles in, so a quiet and calm home would help her settle faster.
More of her personality will come out as she gets more comfortable, but so far she is perfectly wonderful!”
