Magnolia
* Magnolia has been adopted! Yay! *
In 2020, Magnolia arrived at Hamilton Animal Services as a stray, and she gave birth to five babies the next day. Sadly, one baby passed away suddenly. Nobody came forward to claim Magnolia, and when HAS staff reached out to us for help, we were happy to get Magnolia and her little family out of the stress of the shelter.
This lovely girl did a fantastic job raising her babies, Madeline, Marvin, Moby and Morty, and the babies all found their forever homes. Magnolia was also adopted in 2020, but she had to be returned to us in 2023 when allergies within the adopter’s family got to be too much.
An attempt at bonding with another rabbit happened in her adoptive home, and even after an extended period of time, Magnolia was still not good with the other bunny. We think she would be best as a solo bunny in a home where she can get lots of love from humans.
Magnolia is a very sweet bunny. She basically melts as soon as you pet her and she’ll stay pancaked until you stop. She loves to be loved! She is currently living cage free in her foster home, and we’d like her to have the same amount of freedom in her forever home.
Here’s a note from her current home:
“Magnolia is an absolute love bug. Her favourite activities include snuggles in bed in the morning, throwing around her toys, and chewing on just about anything she can get her cute little mouth on – so some good bunny proofing is definitely a must. She’s a big girl so she needs lots of space and attention to run around and get her endless zoomies and energy out, and she is perfectly litter trained so she’s a great free roam bun! She absolutely loves snacking on a slice of apple as a treat, and she goes crazy for some fresh parsley. She does really well with other animals and has been around large dogs and many cats a lot, so as long as they’re friendly to her they’ll be good friends. She really is such a perfect and sweet bun, if you give her a good home she’ll pay you back with endless snuggles, kisses, and crazy binkies throughout the day.”
* Magnolia has been vaccinated against Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease (RHDV).
