* Merlin and Terry found their forever home together with wonderful people! Yippee! *

Merlin and Terry ended up at Hamilton Animal Services when their owner passed away. They were both quite matted and were in desperate need of nail trims, so HAS staff got them fixed up as best they could. No family members or friends came forward to pick Merlin and Terry up, so HAS staff reached out to us. We were happy to get these two sweethearts out of the shelter and into the safety of a foster home. At their vet visit, Terry was given medication for a minor skin irritation, but they were otherwise in pretty good health. A couple of weeks later, both boys had dental surgery remove rotten teeth and get a good teeth cleaning. They healed up great from their surgery, and now they’re ready to find their forever home!
We’re asking that Merlin and Terry be adopted as a pair. These boys would not be a good fit for a home with small children, as Merlin can be grumpy and nippy at times.

Here’s a note from their foster home:
“These two boys are an absolute delight. They are 10 -12 years old and are basically old men. All they do is nap and snuggle, although they are very good at supervising while you are in the bathroom.

Merlin is the snuggle bug of the two. He will nap on your lap or close to you all day and gets extremely put out if you need to move. He has a tiny little meow, which is adorable, and he will guard the toilet when you are showering. He has the cutest snore and the cutest chin. Merlin has a favourite toy, which he sings to when he plays with it. Also a big fan of boxes. Basically the cutest boy in the world.

Terry is a calm, quiet fella, although he does grumble when he needs pets or food. He scratches on the scratch pad, but I haven’t seen him play as much as Merlin. He will guard the door while you are showering, or will keep the bath mat warm. Very gentlemanly! He will head butt you until you give him stritches, but always very gently.

They both had some teeth pulled recently, and healed well. They should be given dental food, and Terry is on weight loss food (although Merlin will eat it too).

Terry and Merlin are the best boys ever and someone will be very lucky to be their forever home.”
