* Scarlet and Ruby-Bella found their forever home together with a wonderful family! Yay! *

When Windsor Humane Society received a large number of rats, they reached out to us for help. We were able to take in Tula, Ruby-Bella, Lassa, Zeka and Scarlet. All the rats had lice when they arrived at Windsor Humane, and the staff were able to give them baths and medically treat them.

The rats had a vet visit on their rescue day, and they were given a clean bill of health. The lice are thankfully gone, and the vet didn’t have any further concerns.
During their time in their foster home, their foster family noted that Tula, Lassa and Zeka hang out together, and Ruby-Bella and Scarlet seem quite bonded, so we’d like the rats to be adopted as a trio and a pair.

Ruby-Bella and Scarlet are adventurous and active little girls. They’ll need a forever home where they can get a lot of time out of their cage to explore and play. They love snacks, especially soda crackers, broccoli, watermelon and strawberries. All the girls are friendly and easy to handle. They would be a good fit for an adult home, or one with older children.

They come in single and double sizes, and can be modified and customized to create enrichment and provide comfort. Their design and solid manufacturing almost entirely eliminates the possibility of accidental escape. Critter Nation cages are available (or can be ordered) at most local pet supply stores.

Can’t adopt but want to help?
Monetary donations are always needed, but if you’d like to donate something specifically for the rats in our care, donations of rat food, small pet blankets (used for cage lining), rat hammocks and fleece liners for Critter Nation cages are very much appreciated!
