Bug
* Bug has been adopted by her foster home! Woo hoo! *
Bug arrived at Hamilton Animal Services as a stray. She was infested with fleas, and her fur was so matted, she had to be sent to the vet to be sedated and shaved down. Bug’s mouth is an infected mess. Her gums were swollen and painful – so much so that she didn’t want to eat anything. Not even watered down canned food. Poor girl was in a sad state.
We got Bug out of the shelter and straight to the vet. She was put on medications to help with the inflammation in her mouth, and to help manage pain until she could have dental surgery to remove the rotten teeth. When she was finally able to have the surgery, almost every tooth was removed and she did great for surgery. Now that she’s recovered and adjusted to life without rotten teeth and constant pain, Bug is ready to find her forever home!
Here’s a note from Bug’s foster family:
“Bug has been a constant joy in my home and a delight to foster. She is a very gentle and loving cat. She will ask you for attention and head scratches by butting her head into you or by very gently reaching her paw towards you you. She loves to be near you and see what you are up to. Bug is a kind, curious, and patient soul who spends a lot of time relaxing in homemade forts, but still has spurts of kitten playful energy which is a pleasure to watch as she throws toys around the house and plays fetch with herself. She knows when it is bedtime and talks to you before curling up and snuggling next to you all night. Bug is also vocal around meal times and gets quite excited but then will patiently sit by her bowl until she is fed. I would love for Bug to go to a home where she is the only animal and with someone who can give her all of the attention and love she deserves. ”
