Georgia
* Georgia found her forever home with wonderful people, and she’ll have another finch to be friends with! Yay! *
Georgia came into Hamilton Animal Services as a stray and was not claimed by her owner. We got Georgia out of the stress of the shelter and into a quiet foster home. At her vet visit, Georgia was given medication in case she was suffering from any internal parasites, and then she was off her foster home.
Georgia is a lovely little bird. She does stress out easily, so her foster family are very slow and gentle whenever they have to approach her cage.
Georgia has a little bit of trouble with one of her feet when going from perch to perch in her cage. She doesn’t fall off perches, it’s more of a slight stumble before she gets a good grip. The vet noted that it may have been a previous injury, or that it may be age related, as Georgia does seem to be an older bird. Georgia is not in any pain and no medication or treatment is required for the foot, but her forever home should offer her different perches of various sizes and textures to help her feel more comfortable moving around her cage.
We are looking for a quiet forever home for Georgia where there are other finches for her to be friends with, and where she’ll have a very large living space to spread her wings and fly.
