Ella Jane
* Ella Jane found her forever home with lovely people! Woo hoo! *
Ella Jane was surrendered to Hamilton Animal Services by her owner when they could no longer care for her. While at the shelter, Ella Jane tested positive for Feline Leukemia, but despite this, we were happy to get this lovely girl out of the shelter when a foster home opened up.
At her first vet visit we had a more comprehensive blood test done, and it turns out the test at the shelter was false! Ella Jane isn’t Feline Leukemia positive after all! We got Ella Jane the dental surgery she needed, and five teeth were removed. Now that she’s healed, she’s ready to find her forever home!
Here’s a note from Ella Jane’s foster mom:
“Ella Jane is an absolute sweetheart. She takes her guarding responsibilities very seriously in the bathroom and also gives spontaneous massages.
She will let it be known when she wants food, but she has a delicate little voice. She very much loves napping in her cat tree.
Ella Jane really puts her all into jumping for toys, and she braces herself against the wall for maximum attack.
Part of the reason she was surrendered to the shelter was because she kept trying to escape outside, but she hasn’t attempted any escapes since she has lived in this apartment. Her new family will have to keep an eye on her when doors to the outdoors are open.
Ella Jane is pretty independent, but also loves cuddles and snuggly lap naps. She would do best with older kids, as she is is mostly calm but also wants to play pretty hard.
She has not met any puppies or other cats, so not sure how she would do with either of those.”
