* Tyson found his forever home with a wonderful family! Woo hoo! *

Tyson came into Hamilton Animal Services with another rabbit. Technically they were strays, but it’s more likely they were dumped.
Unfortunately, Tyson and the other rabbit got into a squabble, and Tyson ended up with injuries to his genitals and bum. Because there is no vet on staff at the shelter, they reached out to us for help. We were lucky enough to be able to get Tyson to see a rabbit specialist vet so he could have his injures treated and he could be neutered. The surgery was a bit tricky because of where the injuries were, but Tyson got through it, and he did well during the few days he spent at the vet for observation.
Tyson is now enjoying being cage-free at his foster home. Though he wasn’t thrilled about taking the medication he needed, he was eating, pooping, and hopping around right after his surgery like nothing happened. His foster home even saw him get the zoomies the day after he arrived in their home. 🙂
Tyson is now all healed from his surgery, and ready to find his forever home!

Tyson is a bit of a shy bunny, but after all he’s been through, we can’t blame him. He will come running to greet you when you come into his room, and he quite often binkies and gets the zoomies. He is still warming up to be petted, and he gets a little less shy every day. If you sit quietly with him, he’ll hop all around you and even be brave enough to jump onto your legs or your lap for a few moments. He’d be the perfect bunny for someone who is willing to take the time to help him get over his shyness. A quiet home with no small children would be best for him.

* Tyson has been vaccinated against Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease (RHDV).
