Vern, Gordie, Chris, and Teddy were surrendered to a Quebec shelter by their owners. The shelter told us the reason was “Owner surrender due to unexpected litter (bought a female from a pet store and ended up with some babies).”
When a foster home became available, we were happy to get these cute brothers out of the shelter.
They came to us by way of One Last Chance, and Freedom Drivers volunteers. We’re very thankful for all the wonderful people who donate their time to transport rescued animals all across the country.

Vern, Gordie, Chris, and Teddy are shy guys so far, and their foster home will do their best to help them get over their fears. Snacks have been helpful in this department so far!
The degus will have a vet appointment soon, and if they’re given a clean bill of health they’ll be made available for adoption shortly after.
