Teddy
Vern, Gordie, Chris, and Teddy were surrendered to a Quebec shelter by their owners. The shelter told us the reason was “Owner surrender due to unexpected litter (bought a female from a pet store and ended up with some babies).”
When a foster home became available, we were happy to get these cute brothers out of the shelter.
They came to us by way of One Last Chance, and Freedom Drivers volunteers. We’re very thankful for all the wonderful people who donate their time to transport rescued animals all across the country.
Vern, Gordie, Chris, and Teddy had a vet visit shortly after their rescue, and they were given a clean bill of health. They’re now ready for their forever home! We are asking they be adopted in pairs, or in a group.
These degus are shy guys, and their foster family will have to be very patient to help them get over their fears. Their foster home reports that the degus have been slowly coming out of their shells, but they’ve still got a ways to go. They love their wheel and their dust bath. They’re currently eating Versele-Laga brand degu food, and they get Oxbow brand “Rewards” treats and leafy greens for snacks.
These adorable dudes will be lovely companions for the right home.
Please adopt Vern, Gordie, Chris, and Teddy!
