Grey
Grey ended up at Hamilton Animal Services when his owner passed away. Poor Grey was having a hard time at the shelter. He was initially very scared, and didn’t want attention from any of the staff. He would just cower at the back of his cage. With patience and kindness, shelter staff did their best to comfort Grey by giving him gentle pets and chin rubs. After a few days of giving Grey attention, shelter staff discovered that Grey is a drooler when he’s happy! So cute.
When a foster home opened up, we were happy to get Grey out of the cage at the shelter and into a foster home. He had a vet visit on his rescue day, and was given a clean bill of health, other than needing to lose a bit of weight. The shelter had a concern that he might have a urinary issue, but the urine tests done at the vet showed no concerns. To be on the safe side, he was started on Hills Metabolic CD diet. Soon after arriving in his foster home, Grey had happy feet and he was drooling with every bit of affection his foster family gave him. Such a sweet guy!
He’s had no urinary issues in his foster home, so he may be able to be gradually switched to a different food. Adopters should discuss the food switch with their vet.
Here’s a note from Grey’s foster family:
“Grey is a big cuddly ball of fluff. He is very loving and playful. He laps up all the attention, pets and brushing he can. Grey is very sweet and loves to be around people and other cats.”
Please adopt Grey!
