* Mama M found her forever home with lovely people and other pigs to be friends with! Woo hoo! *

Mama M and her baby Moo were two of a group of guinea pigs surrendered to a Niagara area shelter by their owner because they had too many animals. Moo was approximately 8 weeks old, and poor Mama M was already pregnant again. We’re glad we could get these two out of the shelter and into a quiet foster home where Mama M could have her babies in peace.

Mama M gave birth to two perfect babies on February 18th, 2025. Mousse and Meringue were the cutest siblings, and their mom did a great job raising them. At four weeks old, the little family had a vet visit, and they were all given a clean bill of health. Mousse was confirmed to be male, and Meringue female. After the appointment, Mousse was separated from his mom and sister, and we’re hoping he will find a forever home asap so he doesn’t have to be alone for too long.

Mama M and Meringue are now available for adoption as a pair, or individually as long there are other female or neutered male guinea pigs in the home that they can be introduced to.

Potential adopters must be aware that Mama M’s crazy hairdo will need regular attention to keep it from becoming tangled and to keep poop and hay from becoming stuck in it. Mama M isn’t a huge fan of being handled, but she is happy to take a treat from your hand. She loves to hunker down in her snuggle sack or hidey house for naps, and veggie time is her favourite time of the day.
