Gertie had a serious and unexpected seizure on Sunday morning. Her foster mom rushed her to the emergency vet and they were at the clinic all day for tests. Gertie was feeling better by the end of the day and she was able to return to her foster home. The vets couldn’t pinpoint exactly what caused the seizure, so we’re in a “wait and see” mode for now. Gertie is back to her bubbly self, so we’re hopeful that she never has another seizure!
Gertie’s emergency vet bill was a hit to our finances. We were running low on funds as it was, and Gertie’s unexpected situation brought our bank account to such a low that we might not able to rescue any more animals for a while…only because we simply can’t afford to. We strive to give our animals the best care we can while they’re with us, and we can only do that with your help! Please donate today so we can keep doing what we do. There are more animals waiting for our help, and we’re desperate to help them! Any donation big or small will go a long way to help us rescue animals in need…
