Hope everyone had a great long weekend! Poor Bo didn’t! He ended up spending the entire weekend at the vet. His foster home discovered on Friday that he wasn’t feeling well and hadn’t been eating. Once at the vet, it was discovered that he was dehydrated, had a fever, and a blood test showed a high white blood cell count. They kept him on fluids and medication for the weekend, and he was finally able to go back to his foster home on Tuesday morning. Turns out he had an old abscess that likely opened up internally and caused a major infection. His time at the vet was imperative and thankfully his foster home noticed that something wasn’t right before he got really ill. We’re so glad he’s feeling better.
Poor Bo already has so many strikes against him. He’s a black cat, he has a head tilt, his back legs are wonky due to a previous injury, he has to be on a special food for urinary crystals, and now this! Bo is going to need a very special person to be able to look past all those issues to give him his forever home. We’re hopeful his sweet and funny personality will win over that one person who is looking to add a wonderful kitty to their life. And we know that certain someone is out there!

Donations are always appreciated…especially when one of our animals has an extended stay at the vet like Bo did this weekend. You can donate through Canada Helps, or through snail mail at the address here.
If you can’t donate, please send some love and well wishes to Bo. We know he’d appreciate them. Thanks for your continued support!
