* Poppy found her forever home with lovely people! Yay! * Poppy was found wandering a construction site in Hamilton. No place for a kitty! Workers there feared for Poppy’s safety, so they brought her to Hamilton Animal Services. No owner came forward to claim Poppy, and we were more than happy to get her out of the shelter and into a foster home. What a love bug Poppy is! Such a happy kitty! In May of 2021, we had to say goodbye to our sweet permanent resident, Rajah. He was only with us for a few months, but those few months were filled with love and adventures. Raj was made a permanent resident shortly after his arrival because of his advanced age and long list of medical issues. We are so thankful to his forever foster mom for taking such great care of Rajah. And we’re thankful for our many supporters who sent donations for him. His foster mom wrote the lovely tribute below. We were able to take in Tula, Ruby-Bella, Lassa, Zeka and Scarlet. All the rats had lice when they arrived at Windsor Humane, and the staff were able to give them baths and medically treat them. * Moira has been adopted by a wonderful person! Yay! Congrats Moira! * Moira arrived at Hamilton Animal Services as a stray. No owner came forward to claim her, despite being at the shelter for an extended period. She had a big belly, and a mass on her abdomen that the shelter thought may be a mammary tumour. We got Moira out of the shelter and into a foster home. She is a total love bug! Happy and purring and head bonking everyone she meets. After being in our care for almost three years, Shelly passed away peacefully in her foster home after suffering an infection that vet care and medications were not helping.  She was a sweet old girl, and our hearts go out to her foster family and her turtle friend, Fluffy. * Fred found his forever home with awesome people! Woo hoo! * Fred came into Hamilton Animal Services as a stray. He had an injury to his eye area, so HAS staff sent him straight to the vet to get treatment. The vet thought the injury looked like a bite wound. Poor Fred! He hung out at the clinic for a few days for his treatment, and was then returned to the shelter to wait out his stray time. Tzatziki

Tzatziki

* Tzatziki found her forever home with lovely people! Yay! * Tzatziki was abandoned in an apartment and was not discovered for an extended period of time. Thankfully she survived and was brought to Hamilton Animal Services. HAS reached out to us for help, and we got Tzatziki out of the shelter and straight to the vet. She was quite thin and she had a bladder infection, likely caused by being left in a dirty cage for so long. * Moby and Marvin found their forever home together with amazing people! Woo hoo! * Magnolia arrived at Hamilton Animal Services as a stray, and she gave birth to five babies the next day. Sadly, one baby passed away suddenly.  Nobody came forward to claim Magnolia, and when HAS staff reached out to us for help, we were happy to get Magnolia and her little family out of the stress of the shelter.
