Marvin

Marvin - 16 weeks old

* Moby and Marvin found their forever home together with amazing people! Woo hoo! * Magnolia arrived at Hamilton Animal Services as a stray, and she gave birth to five babies the next day. Sadly, one baby passed away suddenly.  Nobody came forward to claim Magnolia, and when HAS staff reached out to us for help, we were happy to get Magnolia and her little family out of the stress of the shelter. Magnolia did a fantastic job raising her family. When the babies turned eight weeks old, they had a vet visit, and they were all given a clean…   read more >>

Henrietta

Henrietta

* Humphrey and Henrietta found their forever home together with amazing people! Woo hoo! * Henrietta arrived at Hamilton Animal Services as a stray. A couple of weeks later, Humphrey was brought into Hamilton Animal Services after his owners abandoned him when they moved. Both rabbits spent a short time at HAS, and we were happy to get them out of the shelter when a foster home opened up. We had Humphrey and Henrietta fixed on their rescue day, and their foster mom put them in pens right next to each other in hopes they could eventually be bonded. We’ll let Humphrey and…   read more >>

Walter

Walter @ foster

We’re thrilled to report that our sweet pal Walter has found a loving forever home. Congratulations, Walter! We’re so happy for you! Walter arrived at Hamilton Animal Services as a stray. He had a microchip, but the number was out of service. Even after spending an extended period of time at the shelter, no owner came forward looking for Walter. When a foster home opened up, we were thrilled to get this sweet guy out of the shelter and into a safe and warm foster home. He spent some time at the vet shortly after his rescue to help him…   read more >>

Flo

Flo adopted

* Flo has been adopted by her foster family! Woo hoo! * Flo came into Hamilton Animal Services as a stray, and no owner came forward to claim her. Long term neglect was obvious. Skin condition, ear infection, rotten teeth, urinary issues…the list goes on. When HAS reached out to us for help, we were more than happy to get Flo out of the shelter and into a loving foster home. Despite how she must have been feeling, Flo was still friendly towards everyone she met. Such sweet old soul. Flo was back and forth to the vet many, many…   read more >>

Merlin

Merlin adopted

* Merlin and Terry found their forever home together with wonderful people! Yippee! * Merlin and Terry ended up at Hamilton Animal Services when their owner passed away. They were both quite matted and were in desperate need of nail trims, so HAS staff got them fixed up as best they could. No family members or friends came forward to pick Merlin and Terry up, so HAS staff reached out to us. We were happy to get these two sweethearts out of the shelter and into the safety of a foster home. At their vet visit, Terry was given medication for a…   read more >>

Cinnabun

Cinnabun

* Cinnabun found her forever home with lovely people! Woo hoo! * Cinnabun arrived at Hamilton Animal Services as a stray and was not claimed by her owner. It’s more likely Cinnabun was abandoned, as opposed to being a stray. She’s just the cutest, smallest bun! And very friendly. We were thrilled to get Cinnabun out of the shelter when a foster home became available. Cinnabun was spayed on her rescue day and she recovered perfectly. There is another bunny in Cinnabun’s foster home, and attempts were made to bond the two, but Cinnabun wasn’t having it. Even after months…   read more >>

Newton

Newton @ foster

* Einstein and Newton found their forever home together with awesome people! Yay! * Einstein and Newton were surrendered to Hamilton Animal Services by their owner because they were moving out of province. They spent an extended time at the shelter before HAS staff reached out to us for help. These poor guys are somewhat skittish (especially Newton) and they weren’t doing great in a shelter environment. We were happy to get them out of the shelter and into a quiet foster home. They had a vet visit and were given a clean bill of health. They’re now ready to find…   read more >>

Yippee! * Snickerdoodle and Strudel were found as strays and brought to Hamilton Animal Services.  Nobody came forward to claim them, and when a foster home opened up we were glad to get this sweet pair out of the shelter. They had their spay and neuter surgeries on their rescue day, and everything went well. Snickerdoodle and Strudel are now healed from their surgeries, and they’re ready to find their forever home! Bear

Bear

* After being in our care for eight months, Bear lost her battle with cancer. Our hearts go out to Bear’s foster mom and to everyone who met and fell in love with her. * Bear came into Hamilton Animal Services after a house fire. Thankfully she was not injured. After many attempts to contact Bear’s owners after the allotted hold period at the shelter, Bear’s owners did not respond, nor did anyone come forward to claim her. We were thrilled to get Bear out of the shelter when a foster home opened up. When she arrived at HAS, Bear…   read more >>

Milo

Milo - photo by Willow Bean Photography

* Felix & Milo have been adopted! Yay! * In 2015, we rescued Hayley, Latte, Sunny and Curtis from Hamilton Animal Services where they found themselves as strays. The staff at HAS said these kittens had the worst case of flea infestation they had ever seen. It was so bad, a couple of the kittens became anemic from it. HAS staff treated the fleas with a topical flea solution and we rescued the kittens the next day. The kittens’ foster family did a great job getting them cleaned up and healthy enough to be ready for adoption, and they all found…   read more >>
