Graham
We rescued Graham from Hamilton Animal Control. Graham came into HAC as a stray. He was quite matted when he arrived at HAC, and had some missing fur, likely from an allergy. He had back end weakness, and a few lumps and bumps as many older dogs do. But despite these issues, Graham was beyond sweet and friendly. Such a happy boy! Graham came through his lump removal surgery like a champ and while in his foster home, his fur started to grow back and he gained some of the mobility in his back end. His foster home reported that… read more >>
Sushi
Sushi was rescued from Hamilton Animal Control where she was brought in as a stray. She’s a shy, but sweet girl…very gentle and loving. We had Sushi spayed and she’s now ready to start the next chapter of her life with a new adventure! Here’s a note from Sushi’s foster home: “Best cat ever. There’s nothing fishy about it, Sushi (aka Katy Purry) is a true lady. She has impeccable manners and is very gentle. She’s not crazy fussy about being picked up and carried around as she prefers getting around on her own four feet but she adores attention… read more >>
Barley
We rescued Barley from Hamilton Animal Control where he ended up as a stray. Poor Barley has many scrapes and scabs, and had clearly not been very well cared for…if cared for at all. Could be that he had been outdoors on his own for some time. We’ll never know for sure. Either way, we got Barley to safety in his foster home. We had him to the vet to be neutered and blood tested. Barley is FIV and FeLV free! Despite the poor condition he was in when we rescued him, Barley is a sweet boy…happy to have some… read more >>

Spanky
Spanky found his forever home with lovely people! We rescued Spanky from Hamilton Animal Control. Spanky was surrendered to animal control when his owner moved to a seniors home. Spanky is a sweet guy. Shy, but he likes to head bonk and purr. We noticed that Spanky was drooling quite a lot, and when we got him to the vet, it was pretty obvious why. Some of his teeth are missing…some are almost falling out and a couple of them are quite rotten. We got him the dental surgery he so desperately needed, and now he’s feeling great, and… read more >>
Abba
* Abba found her forever home with lovely people! * We rescued Abba from Hamilton Animal Control. Abba was brought into HAC as a stray. HAC staff found that she had a microchip, but when they called the chip company to try to find her owners, the chip was not registered to anyone. And unfortunately, the organization who had originally implanted the chip had not kept any records. Abba had some serious matting on her back, mostly because she is too fat to turn and groom herself there. We started her on a weight loss food to help her out… read more >>

Tara’s bum is looking and feeling much better now, and she’s ready to find her forever home! Tara has A LOT of energy. She loves to play and will follow her foster family around the… read more >>

Sasha
We rescued Sasha from Hamilton Animal Control. Sasha was found hanging by her leg from a plant hook in a homeowner’s backyard. Nobody knows exactly how Sasha ended up in this position, but she likely fell onto the hook somehow. Animal Control was called and they got Sasha to the vet where she was stitched up. Thankfully, the hook only went through skin and didn’t damage any bones or organs. After her surgery, Sasha was sent to Animal Control to wait out her stray time. Nobody came looking for Sasha, so we rescued her from HAC and took her to… read more >>
Abraham
We rescued Glen and Abraham from Hamilton Animal Control. Their owners surrendered them to HAC because of allergies in the family. They’re young and happy piggies and they love each other very much, so they need to be adopted as a pair. Glen and Abraham are typical guinea pigs, as in they’re not fond of being picked up, but once you have hold of them, they’ll snuggle in for scritches and head pats. They will give a little nibble on your fingers if stressed, so children should be constantly supervised while handling Glen and Abraham. These guys LOVE timothy hay,… read more >>
Boomer
We rescued Beatrix and Boomer from Hamilton Animal Control. They were found together as strays. We’re not sure if they’re related, but they seem to be around the same age and they are both already fixed. Boomer had some large mats on his back that had been there for some time. When we got the cats to the vet, Boomer’s mats were shaved out to relieve him of his pain. Beatrix and Boomer are overweight, but otherwise healthy. We’ve started them on a weight control diet to help them shed some pounds. Here’s a personality report from their foster home:… read more >>
