Beatrix
We rescued Beatrix and Boomer from Hamilton Animal Control. They were found together as strays. We’re not sure if they’re related, but they seem to be around the same age and they are both already fixed. Boomer had some large mats on his back that had been there for some time. When we got the cats to the vet, Boomer’s mats were shaved out to relieve him of his pain. Beatrix and Boomer are overweight, but otherwise healthy. Tosca
We rescued Tosca and her kittens Zane, Woodrow, Wendall and Harley from Hamilton Animal Control. They came into HAC as strays. Tosca is very good to her babies and she likes attention from people. The kittens are playful and happy little nuggets…and so cute! Tosca is only about 10 months old. Too young to be having babies! Peggy
We rescued Peggy from Hamilton Animal Control. Sweet Peggy had been hit by a car, so Animal Control took her to the vet. She has a fractured tail that is so severely broken that it needs to be amputated. Peggy is otherwise healthy and very friendly. Despite what she’s going through, Peggy is still sweet and happily greeting everyone who comes near her cage at the vet clinic and flopping over for rubs. Bobbie-Sue
We rescued Bobbie-Sue from Hamilton Animal Control. Unfortunately, Bobbie-Sue’s previous owners were evicted, so Bobbie-Sue was removed from the home and ended up at HAC. She was infested with fleas and was quite thin when she arrived at the shelter. Bobbie-Sue is extremely friendly, so thankfully it seems she hasn’t been too affected by her ordeal. Duke
Maggie and Duke ended up at Hamilton Animal Control after their owner passed away. We rescued them from HAC and placed them into a foster home. Kyle
Kyle’s foster home became his forever home! Yay Kyle! We rescued Kyle from Mississauga Animal Services. Kyle was brought into MAS after being found on the street in a box. He’s a sweet and curious little bunny and he’ll make a lovely companion for the right home. We rescued Travis from Mississauga Animal Services. Travis was surrendered to MAS by his owners when they could no longer care for him. He’s a very friendly bunny and soooo soft! Bartholomew
Meet Lord Bartholomew, Esquire! (Bartholomew’s name was provided by Westmount People for Animal Welfare) Bartholomew came into Hamilton Animal Control as a stray and was never claimed. We were happy to rescue this gorgeous little kitten from HAC. We had him neutered, and he healed wonderfully in his foster home. He’s a lively, happy and curious kitty. He gets along well with the animals in his foster home. Bartholomew has been adopted by lovely people!

Lolly
Lolly ended up at Hamilton Animal Control after she was left on a city bus in a carrier. We have no idea why someone would choose to abandon her in this way, but we were happy to rescue her from HAC when a foster home opened up. Lolly is a very sweet cat, and we had great hopes for her to find a forever home after being abandoned in such an awful way. But…Lolly is plagued with health troubles. Pearl
We rescued Pearl from Hamilton Animal Control. Pearl came into HAC as a stray, and it was pretty obvious she hadn’t been looked after for quite some time. She was infested with fleas, she had several burrs stuck in her fur and the end of her tail was one big matted mess. And she’s very skinny. We took Pearl to the vet for a health check, fur clean-up and spay, and other than being too thin, she’s in fairly good shape! Pearl is such a lovely girl. Sweet and gentle natured. A real purr head! Maisy
Maisy was rescued from Hamilton Animal Control where she found herself as a stray. She’s a very sweet cat, and we’re shocked that nobody came looking for her. We had Maisy spayed, and not too long after her recovery, her foster mom let us know that she wanted to be Maisy’s forever mom! So, Maisy has officially been adopted! Yay!
Bumper
We rescued Bumper from Hamilton Animal Control where she ended up as a stray. Bumper was wearing a collar so she belonged to someone, but even after being at HAC for more than a month, nobody showed up to claim her. Bumper has some sparse fur that was likely caused by a flea allergy, but since her flea treatment, it has begun to grow back. Margot
We rescued Margot from Hamilton Animal Control. Back in mid-August, Margot fell about 70 feet from a balcony. Animal Control took her to the vet where they found that she had broken some of her back toes and had cracked/knocked out a couple of teeth. She stayed at the vet for a short time, then she was transferred to Animal Control for cage rest and to wait out her stray time.
