Pepper
* Pepper found his forever home with lovely people! * We rescued Pepper from a high-volume shelter in Quebec. Thank you Critter Cab volunteer drivers for transporting Pepper to us! Pepper was found as a stray, but he certainly belonged to someone because he’s a very nice bunny, and he’s already been neutered. Pepper had a cyst on his neck that our vets removed, and he healed wonderfully from his surgery. Pepper is a very sweet and friendly guy. And how can anyone resist those ears?! We’re so in love… Pepper was adopted back in October to a lovely person,… read more >>

Pebbles
We rescued Pebbles from Hamilton Animal Control where she found herself as a stray. When we rescued her, Pebbles’ nails were very overgrown and her teeth were horrendously rotten. But she was a happy, energetic girl, and wagged her tail through her whole rescue and vet visit. She had dental surgery to remove the rotten teeth, and she came through the surgery like a champ. Pebbles had some healing time in her foster home, and now she’s ready to find her forever home! Pebbles would do best in a home where her people are around her most of the time…. read more >>

Copper
* Copper found his forever home with lovely people! * We rescued Copper from Hamilton Animal Control. He came into HAC as a stray. Copper’s owners were notified that he was at the shelter, but they never showed up to claim him. We placed Copper in a foster home where he has a big back yard to explore and a senior dachshund to be friends with. A few days later, Copper went into the vet for a much needed dental surgery. While trying to intubate, the vet ran into a problem. Turns out Copper had a toonie size piece of bone… read more >>
Tiny Tim
August 23rd, 2016 So sad to report that Tiny Tim passed away early this morning. Whatever illness he had contracted was just too much for him and he went peacefully in Jennifer’s arms. We’re thankful that Tim was with Jen when passed, and not in a cage all by himself. Thanks to Jen and to the rest of The Cat Clinic staff for being there for him. Rest in peace little Tim… August 22nd, 2016 A member of the public found Tiny Tim all alone on the street, so they brought him into Hamilton Animal Control. He waited out his… read more >>
Reeses
We rescued Reeses from Hamilton Animal Control where she found herself as a stray. Aside from being gorgeous, he’s a sweet and gentle kitty. We’re shocked that nobody came looking for her if she truly is a stray. Reeses foster home turned into her forever home. Yay Reeses!
Pablo
Pablo came into Hamilton Animal Control as a stray. He quickly became an HAC staff favourite because of his sweet nature. We were happy to spring him from there when a foster home opened up. He went straight to the vet where he had a check-up and had his ears cleaned. There weren’t any ear mites, but his ears were quite dirty. He wasn’t very impressed about having his ears cleaned, but the vet got a lot of gunk out of his ears that must have been irritating him for quite a while. He’s otherwise a healthy kitten! Pablo is… read more >>
Oliver
We rescued Baxter and Oliver from Hamilton Animal Control. We’re not sure how they became separated from their mom, but they were too young to be away from her when they were brought into HAC. Thankfully we had a foster mom available who is experienced in raising kittens of this age. Baxter and Oliver are now big enough, and healthy enough to find their forever home! Baxter and Oliver are very bonded to each other, so they must be adopted as a pair. They love playing and running and wrestling. But they are also expert snugglers with their foster people…. read more >>

Nellie
We rescued Nellie from Hamilton Animal Control! Nellie is only about six weeks old, and she was found as a stray. Hard to understand how kittens so young are found as strays, but as sad as it is, it happens quite often. But we’re glad someone had the foresight to get Nellie off the streets and into safety. Isn’t Nellie the most adorable wee thing? And she never stops purring. So cute! Nellie found her forever home with lovely people!
Hanson
Hanson was found wandering outside near an apartment building in Hamilton. The landlord of the building was told that when a tenant passed away, the remaining family put Hanson outside when they cleaned out the apartment and left without him. Hard to believe anyone would do something so cruel, especially after the poor cat had just lost his human companion. Hanson was taken to Hamilton Animal Control and we were happy to rescue him from there and take him straight to the vet. Hanson was very thin and had very loose stool while he was at HAC. After some tests… read more >>
Kale
Kale and her babies Ruffles, Tortilla, Dorito, Cheeto and Pringle came to us from a shelter in Quebec. (Thank you Freedom Drivers volunteer rescue transport for the delivery!) They are lovely little hammies, and are easily handled. They had a vet visit and all received a clean bill of health, so they’re ready to find their forever homes! Hamsters need a large enclosure with a wheel (their favourite thing!) and a soft bedding like Care Fresh. You can check out some amazing alternatives to traditional cages here. Some tips about hamster care. Kale found her forever home with lovely people!
Teeki
* Teeki found her forever home with an amazing person! * We rescued Teeki from Hamilton Animal Control where she was surrendered by her owners. Apparently, Teeki’s owners purchased her from a Kijiji ad, and only had her for one day before surrendering her to HAC because she was stressed out in their home. They didn’t give her much of a chance to settle in and get used to her new surroundings, but at least they decided to take her to HAC rather than putting her out on the street. Here’s a note from Teeki’s foster home: “Teeki is a… read more >>
Latte
Biscotti and Latte were abandoned in a cage in an alley way. Thankfully, someone happened upon them before they succumbed to the heat or some other danger, and Hamilton Animal Control officers came to pick them up. We rescued the piggies from HAC and brought them straight to the vet for a check up. Despite their being discarded in such a terrible way, Biscotti and Latte are in fairly good health. And they’re pretty friendly little girls too! We’re glad they came through their ordeal unscathed. Biscotti and Latte are best friends (and likely sisters, but we don’t know for sure) so… read more >>

Leonardo
Leonardo found himself at Hamilton Animal Control as a stray. How anyone could let this sweet, sweet, purry, mush face of a kitty go is beyond us. He’s the most laid back, happy, floppy kitty you’ve ever met. Such a love bug. We were happy to rescue him from HAC, and after a short time in foster care, he’s ready to find his forever home! Here’s a report from Leonardo’s foster home: “Leo is a snuggly and affectionate kitty. He loves pets, rolling around on the floor tummy rubs and being brushed. Since we’ve had him, he’s been purry and… read more >>
