Chirp

Chirp

* Cricket and Chirp found their forever home together with a wonderful person! Yippee! * Cricket and Chirp were surrendered to a shelter in Quebec by their owners. We were happy to get these sweet boys out of the shelter when a foster home opened up, and they made the trip to Ontario through One Last Chance Rescue and Freedom Drivers Animal Rescue Transport. Big thank you to the awesome volunteers from both organizations! At their vet visit, it was discovered that Cricket has a condition called osseous choristoma, which has rendered him blind. It’s also likely that Cricket is…   read more >>

Ollie

Ollie @ foster

January 2022 Sad news. We had to say goodbye to permanent resident, Ollie. He had a multitude of health issues that prevented him from being adoptable but he still had a great quality of life, so he became a permanent resident back in 2020. His forever foster mom went above and beyond for this sweet senior cat, getting him to countless vet visits and giving him all the love and care he deserved for his final years. We want to thank Kimberley from @fosteringseniorpets for all she did for Ollie. We will miss Ollie’s handsome face and his funny personality….   read more >>

Benson

Benson

* Benson found his forever home with lovely people! Woo hoo! * Benson was abandoned in a box on a residential street in Hamilton. Thankfully, a local resident found the box with Benson inside and called Hamilton Animal Services. Benson’s “stray time” came and went, but nobody came forward to claim him, so we were happy to spring Benson out of the shelter. On his rescue day, Benson went to see Dr. Stubbs at Spencer Creek Animal Hospital, and he was given a clean bill of health. We’re glad he didn’t have any detrimental health issues caused by his abandonment….   read more >>

Bug

Bug - Photo by Luca Simpson

* Bug has been adopted by her foster home! Woo hoo! * Bug arrived at Hamilton Animal Services as a stray. She was infested with fleas, and her fur was so matted, she had to be sent to the vet to be sedated and shaved down. Bug’s mouth is an infected mess. Her gums were swollen and painful – so much so that she didn’t want to eat anything. Not even watered down canned food. Poor girl was in a sad state. We got Bug out of the shelter and straight to the vet. She was put on medications to help…   read more >>

Chu Chu

Chu Chu

Benny, Chu Chu, and Lilly ended up at Hamilton Animal Services when their owner passed away. When the shelter reached out to us for help, we knew we had to rescue this trio together. They’d been through enough without having to be separated from each other. Thankfully, we had a foster home willing to take in these sweet seniors. A short while after their rescue, their foster family noticed that Chu Chu was feeling poorly. She didn’t want to move from her favourite spot, and she had started to leak small spots of urine and feces. She was still happy…   read more >>

Dolores

Dolores

* Dolores found her forever home with a lovely family! Yay! * Windsor Humane Society reached out to us when they were overwhelmed with small animals. We were able to take in Dolores the hamster, Diesel the gerbil, and Badoo the guinea pig. Dolores is a friendly girl, though she’s not thrilled about being handled too much. She has made herself very comfy in her bin enclosure, and she can often be found snuggled into a pile of bedding, or running in her wheel. She is very much enjoying the fresh veggies being offered to her. Dolores was given a…   read more >>
