The Ladybird Animal Sanctuary rescued Paris, along with several other rats who had been abandoned. (You can read their story here)
Paris had given birth at Hamilton Animal Control before we rescued her, so she came to us with her babies Eliott and Emilie. They were born November 21, 2013.

Here’s a note from their foster home: “Paris and her babies have been awesome to foster. From the moment I met her, Paris was comfortable being held and eating treats on my shoulder. When she’s relaxed, she will lay back in your arms or try to cuddle up under your chin. Her babies have grown up to be just as trusting around people. They run to the front of the cage to see you and will jump around excitedly when you tickle them! They are both energetic and friendly, but Eliott is more of a brave explorer while Emilie is more sweet and reserved. I know they’ll all make great companions. I hope that these three go to great homes where they’ll get lots of love, attention and have other ratty friends to play with!”
