Minerva
* Minerva found a forever home with lovely people! *
Minerva ended up at Hamilton Animal Services when her owner was hospitalized long term. When she arrived at HAS, Minerva had fleas, a severe earmite infestation, and her teeth were in bad shape. Her front left foot is deformed, (the foot kinda tucks into the top of the leg) but it doesn’t slow her down at all.
Minerva is a sweet, sweet cat. Lots of purring and bonking from this girl!
All went well at her vet visit, and other than being a bit thin, and her coat being a mess, Minerva is in good health! The vet was not concerned about her leg, and no treatment is required for it. We got Minerva the dental surgery she needed, and now she’s ready to find her forever home!
Here’s a note from her foster home:
“Minerva is an absolute sweetheart! Within 5 minutes of coming home she was already flopping around and wanting tummy rubs. She had some inflamed gums that were probably bothering her, but you wouldn’t know it from her good nature. Most of her teeth have since been removed so hopefully she’s feeling better! She doesn’t let that stop her from chowing down, just like she doesn’t let her wonky front paw stop her from getting around. She can really zoom on that thing! She seems to have had her deformity for quite a while and is completely used to it; getting up and down stairs, jumping onto her favourite chair, or doing some zoomies aren’t an issue at all.
I think Minerva might get along with other friendly cats. My cat is a bit standoffish, but they’ve been roaming around the house together with no major issues. I feel Minerva might’ve been trying to play and make friends at the start, but has backed off a bit after seeing my cat wasn’t having it.
As I type this she is currently sitting on my lap and trying to trap my hand so she can rub her head against it for scritches. If you’re looking for a little lovebug who will happily drool on you and over-enthusiastically thwack her tail, Minerva is the cat for you!”
Please adopt Minerva!
