Little Bean
Little Bean was rescued from a high-kill shelter where he found himself alone in a metal cage with no mother and no siblings. He thrived in his foster home for about a week before he took ill one evening, and was rushed to the emergency vet clinic. The vets were honest with us and warned us that he may not live through the night. Miraculously, he did survive and he even seemed to be feeling better. We transferred Little Bean to our regular vet the next morning and he received treatment throughout the day. Our vets did everything they could, but poor Little Bean could not fight off whatever illness had taken over his young body. His health went downhill very quickly that afternoon. The vets exhausted every type of treatment available to them. His tiny body was dying, and eventually there was no denying he had past the point of recovery. We gave our vets permission to euthanize him to end his suffering. He touched many hearts in his short time on this earth, and we are so grateful for all of you who rooted so hard for him when he took ill. Thank you so much for all the donations and kind words. Thank you to his foster home for doing a great job with him, and thanks to the vets who tried so hard to keep such a sweet little soul with us. Little Bean, you will always be in our hearts.
