Howard
* Howard found his forever home with awesome people! *
Howard came into Hamilton Animal Services as a stray, and no owner came forward to claim him.
Howard is one of the friendliest cats we’ve ever rescued. He purrs and drools (so cute!) and has a happy head bonk for everyone he meets. Nothing seems to get this boy down!
At his vet visit, x-rays showed that Howard has two damaged vertebra, which cause a funny gait. This was likely a historical injury that healed over time. Our vets advised that the vertebra are not causing Howard any pain, and that there is no treatment or surgery to repair it. Howard gets around just fine and can climb and jump like a young kitty!
Due to some skin issues, our vets suggested Howard stay on a limited ingredient diet, and he’s done great on it so far. Otherwise, Howard is a healthy senior boy.
Here’s a note from Howard’s foster mom:
“Howard is a lovely older gentleman who loves to play and regularly zooms around like a kitten. He is super snuggly and very gentle.
He gets along with our two cats and our very large dog. They were all introduced slowly, Howard doesn’t like new animals in his personal space. There were never any fights, just very loud complaints.
Howard is an easy, sweet boy, who is fine with other animals ,but equally happy being the only centre of his human’s attention.”
