Tabitha
Notes: Rescued from Hamilton Animal Control, Tabitha had a very rough go at the beginning. When we rescued her, she had given birth just days before to six kittens. She was sick with an upper respiratory virus she caught at Animal Control, and before coming into the shelter, she was already not in the best of health. Tabitha’s foster home gave around the clock care to Tabitha and her kittens, but unfortunately, the kittens just couldn’t handle being so ill so early in their little lives. Two kittens passed away at the foster home, and after a vet visit, it was decided the remaining kittens were beyond help, so our vet humanely euthanized them. Tabitha was still very ill after losing her kittens, and was on many medications and had to be force fed by her foster home for some time. When she was finally feeling better, she came out of her shell and showed her lovely personality! It didn’t take long after her recovery for Tabitha to be adopted! We’re so happy she will be forever loved and will never have to go through that kind of ordeal again.
