Bill
* Bill and Ted found their forever home together with wonderful people! *
Windsor Humane Society reached out for help when they received an overwhelming number of guinea pigs. We were happy to assist and we took in Bill & Ted, and Itchy & Scratchy. Bill & Ted were surrendered to the shelter because they were “too much work.”
Bill & Ted are sweet guys. They had some matted and crusty fur when they arrived, so their foster home gave them baths and got the mats out so they’ll feel more comfortable. Otherwise, they’re healthy and happy and they’re ready to find their forever home!
Like most guinea pigs, these guys are friendly, but can also be shy. They love their daily veggie snack, and they really love timothy hay. Often found snuggled together, Bill & Ted are the best of friends and you won’t find one without the other. As guinea pigs always do better in pairs or groups, Bill and Ted need to be adopted as a pair.
Thank you Dr. Fleming and staff at Guelph Animal Hospital for being the stop over for the pigs’ transport to us. And for giving Bill & Ted their health checks! And thank you to the volunteer driver who delivered the pigs from Windsor all the way to Guelph!

Guinea pigs need much more room than the typical pet store guinea pig cages offer. Here are some websites that have great examples of the type of cages pigs can live happily in, so that they have lots of room to move around and explore:
