Lemmy
* Ozzie and Lemmy found their forever home together with amazing people! Woo hoo! *
Pixie came into Hamilton Animal Services as a stray. She was skinny, flea infested, and had skin issues that were likely caused by the fleas. To top it off, Pixie was pregnant. Pixie’s owners did not come forward to claim her, and she ended up giving birth to three kittens on July 22nd. We were happy to get Pixie out of the shelter when a foster home opened up, and everyone did great there over the next few months. Pixie is a fantastic mama, and she’s a very friendly girl with all the humans she meets. Pixie’s kittens, Ozzie, Lemmy and Tommy Lee are all boys, and they’ve now had all their vaccines, been neutered, and they’re ready to find their forever homes!
Lemmy and Ozzie are very bonded to each other so we’re asking they be adopted as a pair.
Here’s a report from their foster home:
“Ozzie and Lemmy are sweet, playful and very high energy kittens. They love nothing more than running and jumping around the foster room, chasing each other and playing with toys. Their favourites are toys on a string and anything that lights up or makes noise, but they are not fussy and will play with anything, including pieces of poop that just happen to make their way out of the litter box. 😉 They are both a bit shy at first and will hide when strangers come around, but will warm up with some gentle coaxing and scritches/pets. Once they are comfortable, they will play with you and climb all over you, including climbing right up your back if you happen to crouch on the ground for any reason. While they are both sweet and funny little boys, they can become a bit overstimulated and tend to be a bit “bitey”….they will bite your hands and feet, and need to be admonished with a firm “no” or “ouch”, and also redirected to toys in place of fingers/toes. For this reason, we feel that Ozzie and Lemmy would be best suited to a home without young children who may not understand their behaviour or have the tools to employ the proper training techniques. Ozzie and Lemmy are very bonded, and when they are done tearing around, jumping on each other, and batting toys around, they love nothing more than curling up together for some naps in the sun. For this reason, we are asking that they be adopted together. Ozzie and Lemmy are cute, loving, playful, and entertaining little kittens, and would make a wonderful addition to the right home.”
