Joey came into Hamilton Animal Services as a stray, but no owner came forward to claim him. HAS asked us to help Joey get out of the shelter, so we reached out to Ladybird foster home/board member/donor and all around wonderful person, Kylie from The Brow Room. A member of Kylie’s family currently has a budgie who had recently lost their partner, so the poor bird was all alone. Budgies are flock animals and they can become very depressed if housed by themselves. Kylie picked Joey up from the shelter, and he’s doing great so far. After a vet visit to be sure Joey is in good health, he’ll be introduced to the other budgie.
We love when an animal goes from homeless to their forever home in one day!
