Penny
Ladybird Animal Sanctuary rescued Penny from Hamilton Animal Control where she found herself as a stray. She had an injured eye, but it wasn’t known how the injury was caused. It was first thought the eye would have to be removed, but a second opinion showed the eye could be spared. It was later discovered that whatever damaged Penny’s eye, had also broken off several teeth, and they were now infected. After a dental surgery where four teeth were removed, Penny had some quiet time to heal in her foster home. Penny was a trooper when recovering from her injuries, and she endured many medications and check-ups….but she is feeling much better now! Penny is a petite little thing, and she loves to purr and have lots of lap time. After everything she went through, we’re so happy that Penny found a forever home where she will be kept safe and out of harm’s way, so she will never have to endure cruelty and injury again.
Penny Update – A note from Penny’s adopter
March 17, 2013
It was time. The space created after we lost our Maine Coon just had to be filled. So we adopted Penny. See loves to hang out in her new studio. We venture out daily to gather the sights and spring sounds. She is enjoying her new friend Felix the Siamese and will miss him when he goes home.
Penny is even learning to use the human toilet. She just doesn’t want to contribute to the landfill any more. WHAT A CAT!!
