Roxy
* Roxy found her forever home with lovely people! Yay! *
Roxy was surrendered to Hamilton Animal Services when her owners divorced. She was terrified and very upset when she first arrived at the shelter, but after a few weeks she warmed up and became a favourite among the staff. Once a foster home became available, we were happy to get Roxy out of the shelter. Roxy had a vet visit and she was given a clean bill of health, other than a bit of tartar on her teeth and that she needs to lose a bit of weight. Otherwise, she’s ready to find her forever home!
In her previous life, Roxy lived with another cat, so she may be suited to a home with another cat if proper introductions are followed.
Here’s a note from Roxy’s foster home:
“Roxy is a gorgeous, snuggly, tidy young lady.
She was brought to the shelter when her owners divorced and apparently was a hissy, angry girl.
Coming home from the shelter, she screamed the whole time, but she was right lovely when she got out of the carrier. She loves snuggles and will gladly sleep on your lap all day.
She is quite vocal, but she has calmed down a bit in the time she has been in one spot with a schedule. That being said, she is not impressed when you shower before you feed her breakfast.
Her vet visit found no issues other than some tooth plaque and needing to lose a few pounds. She is on a controlled feeding schedule until the weight is gone.
She has begun to chase toys and use a scratch pad, but is always up for a nap. She is very tidy in her bathroom habits, which is delightful.”
