Gerdy
We had to say goodbye to our sweet permanent resident kitty, Gerdy, on April 12th. Her little body just couldn’t fight any longer.
We want to send a big thank you to Gerdy’s foster family for taking such great care of her. And to the vets and staff at
Spencer Creek Animal Hospital for treating Gerdy with love and dignity.
Sleep well, Gerdy. We’ll never forget your sweet face.
Gerdy arrived to Hamilton Animal Services as a stray. She was microchipped, but the chip was never registered. Nobody came forward to claim Gerdy, and when a foster home opened up we were happy to get this lovely girl out of the shelter after her extended stay.
Gerdy is a love bug! Always happy feet and head bonks from this sweet girl. We were hoping to get Gerdy the dental surgery she desperately needs, but after many vet visits and tests, it was discovered that Gerdy has kidney disease. Gerdy’s kidney disease was already so far advanced when she came into our care, there has only been so much our vets could do. She’s now at the end stage, and is thankfully in the care of her loving foster family and not on the street where she was found.
Gerdy is still purring up a storm and is loving her cuddle time, but we know she won’t be with us for very long.
Her foster family will love and spoil her until her quality of life allows.
We love you Gerdy!
