Bernard
* Bernard found his forever home with amazing people! *
Bernard ended up at Hamilton Animal Services when his owner passed away. He’s a shy guy, but friendly when he warms up. We got Bernard out of the shelter and into a foster home. Shortly after his arrival, Bernard had a health check at the vet where he was given a clean bill of health. We had him neutered, microchipped, updated his vaccines, and now he’s ready to find his forever home!
Here’s a note from Bernard’s foster home:
“Bernard is the perfect housemate – keeps to himself but comes out for snuggles (which he enthusiastically participates in), keeps everything neat and tidy and engages in interesting conversations (especially in the mornings before breakfast).
He was surrendered when his owner died and no one came to claim him. After getting fixed and getting his vaccines up to date, he is ready to go home!
He is a wee bit shy – even after getting used to the place, he still prefers to sleep in cozy hiding spots.
Bernie is 2 or 3 years old and a slender little fella. He loves his catnip toy, chatting over breakfast and head scratches. Not so much a fan of the cat carrier and nail clipping.
As he is a bit skittish and shy, a home with no other animals or children would be best, although he might be ok with another chill cat over time.
His cute little cheeks, his adorable little chirps and his all in snuggle sessions will make anyone fall in love with him. He is not an in your face type of cat, but when he does come out for a visit, he gives it his all.”
