Lettuce
* Turnip, Lettuce, and Peas found their forever home together with a wonderful family! *
Billie‘s babies were born the evening of April 22nd. One baby was born with physical deformities, and though we were hopeful he would be okay, he sadly passed away when he was just under a week old.
Billie did a great job raising the remaining babies, and now they’re ready to find their forever home!
Turnip, Lettuce, and Peas are lovely little boys. Their foster family have been handling them every day, but like most guinea pigs, they still don’t enjoy being handled all that much. They have too much to do to be picked up! They have many places to explore and tasty veggies to eat! They want to get all the fun in while they’re young. 🙂
Guinea pigs need company, and we’d love it if Turnip, Lettuce, and Peas could find their forever home together. They’r still very small, so they are currently living in a Midwest Guinea Pig Habitat, but as they get bigger, they’d need three of these cages attached together to provide enough space for them to be comfortable. We also recommend C & C cages that you can make yourself. They’re much cheaper to make than pet store cages and they provide a lot more room, which guinea pigs definitely need.

Guinea pigs need much more room than the typical pet store guinea pig cages offer. Here are some websites that have great examples of the type of cages pigs can live happily in, so that they have lots of room to move around and explore:
