Quincy
* Quincy has been adopted by lovely people! Yay! *
Quincy was surrendered to Hamilton Animal Services by his owners after he scratched a family member. The details surrounding the scratching incident are very vague.
When a foster home opened up, we were happy to get Quincy out of the shelter and into the vet. Quincy was neutered, microchipped, blood tested (FIV/FeLV negative) and given a clean bill of health. After being in his foster home for a short time, Quincy had a bit of a setback with a bout of illness (feeling lethargic and not eating), but even after a day’s stay at the clinic, our vets weren’t sure what the cause was. Thankfully, Quincy recovered within a few days and was back to his lovely self with the help of some medication. He’s now ready to find his forever home!
Here’s a note from Quincy’s foster family:
“Quincy is a complete sweetheart who probably has a little bit of Labrador in him. He is extremely food motivated, loves to be around his people and is quite vocal.
Quincy came into his foster home very scared and timid. It took a couple of days to come out of his hiding places, but has completely laid claim to the entire house and it’s content by the end of a week. He now loves scratches and to get his belly rubbed. He currently sleeps on the feet of his foster parents and follows them around the house.
Quincy is a playful boy. He loves his catnip toys and feather dusters. We are working on some manners, and he is understanding boundaries so well. He’s a smart little cookie who just want to run around and play.
Quincy would do great in a house with older kids, and dogs who respect boundaries. He is never aggressive, but will hide when overwhelmed. He also loves his cat carrier or other den like places.
Adopt Quincy and let him entertain you for hours with his silly attitude and poses.”
