This sweet old boy found himself at Hamilton Animal Control as a stray. He’s probably around 12 years old, has rotten teeth, a heart murmur, his ears were packed with dirt, his nails were so long that they curled under his pads, and he was in desperate need of a grooming (i.e. he had a lot of matting and a poopy bum!) But he saw the vet and groomer and he’s feeling much better! Teddy’s heart murmur and arthritis are both being treated with medication which he will need to be on for the rest of his life. Because of his murmur, surgery would have been very high-risk, so we opted not to do any dental work. His breath is a little stinky, but he makes up for it with his smile! Teddy spend five months in foster care before finally being adopted. Teddy totally hit the jackpot as far as forever homes go. He’s being pampered and loved up, just the way his sweet soul deserves. Thanks to everyone who sent their love and encouragement to Teddy while we’ve had him all these months. Thanks to CP24 Animal House Calls for featuring Teddy on your show. And huge thanks to Teddy’s new mom for adopting him. We know you’ll give Teddy the best care and boat loads of love for the rest of his days. Congrats Teddy! Sad news… Our beloved Teddy passed away today.

Teddy was already between 10 and 12 years old when we rescued him at the end of December 2012. He spent five months in foster care before finding his forever home with a wonderful person. Teddy was with his adopter just shy of a year before he passed today. And in that short year, he touched so many hearts and put smiles on so many faces. He was a happy, gentle soul, and that’s how we will remember him.
