* Quinny has been adopted by her foster family! *

We rescued Quinny from Hamilton Animal Services where she had been brought in as a stray. Nobody came forward to claim her, and we were happy to get Quinny out of the shelter when a foster home opened up. Quinny was spayed, and now that she’s healed, she’s ready to find her forever home!

Here’s a note from Quinny’s foster home:
“Quinny is a lovely bunny. She would be best in a home that doesn’t have a dog as she is afraid of ours, but it could be because we have a crazy doodle.
Litter training is a work in progress. She will go along the edge of her pen which is next to our own bunny, so we think she’s marking her territory. If she were a solo rabbit, or was eventually bonded to another rabbit, we think she’d use the litter full time.
She will run to the edge of the pen when you enter a room and she will happily let you pet her. Like most bunnies she doesn’t like to be picked up but likes a good head scratch. She has never bitten likes to be around people.
Quinny’s favourite item is a doll bunk bed. She loved sitting on the top bunk. She is like a cat and will look for a patch of sunlight coming through the window to lie in.”

Rabbits need lots of space…

Our fostered rabbits are housed in x-pens or similar enclosures so they have lots of room to move around when they aren’t out for floor time. Some of our rabbits are free range in their foster home.

Commercially made pet store rabbit cages are far too small to allow rabbits to stretch out and move around with ease.
