* Crinkle found his forever home with a wonderful person! Yay! *

We rescued 20 dwarf hamsters from a Quebec shelter. They were surrendered to the shelter by their owner.
The hamsters had a vet visit shortly after their rescue where their genders were confirmed, and they were all given a clean bill of health.

Crinkle is now ready to find his forever home! These guys are all pretty friendly and don’t mind being handled. Caution should still be taken when handling to prevent falls/injury, and small children should always be supervised. Crinkle takes full advantage of the large space provided by his bin cage, and he loves running in his wheel. As well as his store bought hamster food, Crinkle’s foster family have offered him a variety of veggies. Favourites so far have been carrot, kale, cucumber and peas.

Hamsters must be provided a large living space with ample bedding for burrowing and tunnelling.  Bedding like Carefresh brand is best for them. Most store bought cages do not provide enough space, and Habitrail cages are not recommended. Ladybird does not condone the use of plastic hamster balls. They are dangerous and detrimental to a hamsters physical and mental wellbeing. Exercise pens, or enclosed areas that are free of escape routes are the best way for hamsters to explore safely.
