Tuesday
Notes: Rescued from Hamilton Animal Control, Tuesday was found as a stray. When she was found, Tuesday had a bad puncture wound in her back leg. Because she was a stray, she was given minimal treatment at a vet and returned to Animal Control to wait out her stray time. She quickly became a favourite of the staff at the shelter because of her sweet personality. She was spared being euthanized, but had to wait in a cage for a rescue organization to come forward to really save her life. After her wound had healed, Tuesday was still favouring her back leg. Many other rescue organizations and shelters passed Tuesday over when picking out cats to save. When Ladybird finally had an open foster home, we rescued Tuesday and took her straight to the vet for an assessment on her leg. It was discovered she had luxating patella, and she had a surgery to correct it. She came through the surgery just fine and healed quickly thanks to the vet and her foster home. Tuesday only had to wait about a month for her forever family to come along and give her the second chance that she so truly deserved.
