Spencer
We’re so thrilled to report that Spencer’s foster family are now officially foster fails and have decided that he’ll be staying with them forever. Congratulations on your adoption, sweet Spencer!
Spencer was rescued from Hamilton Animal Services where he was an unclaimed stray. This very sweet guy tested positive for Feline Leukemia, and he also has liver disease. Thankfully, Spencer doesn’t have symptoms of either issue, and he’s the happiest, friendliest boy. We had him neutered on his rescue day, and got him started on vet prescribed food to give him an extra healthy diet. He’s now settling in at his foster home and he’s doing great so far. He’ll have his blood work repeated in a few months to see if he still tests positive for FeLV, and we’ll hopefully be able to make him available for adoption then. Sometimes cats can shed the disease, or have a false positive if they had very recently come in contact with another FeLV positive cat, which is why it is recommended to repeat blood work.
For now, Spencer is loving his new life off the streets, and he’s lapping up all the attention from his foster family.
Welcome to Ladybird, Spencer! We’re so happy you’re here!
