* Blondie found her forever home with an amazing person! Yay! *

Blondie, Biscuit, Brandi, mommy Bernadette, and her babies; Bijou, Beebo and Button were rescued from a shelter in Quebec.

These hedgehogs were part of a group of more than twenty who ended up at a shelter after their owner was arrested. Big thanks to All Creatures Rescue and the other organizations who took in the other hedgies.
These poor girls were in rough shape. They had a variety of issues including skin infections, eye infections, and some have missing toes and feet.

Blondie is a friendly hedgie. She does ball up when frightened, but she’ll come out to say hello and have a wander around. She had a vet visit, and she likely has the beginnings of wobbly hedgehog syndrome. She’s not very wobbly yet, but she is much quieter and less steady on her feet than a completely healthy hedgie. Though she has gained weight since coming into our care, she’s still a little thin. After trying medication, there was no improvement to her condition, so it seems she is as healthy as she is going to be. We’re hoping there’s an experienced hedgehog person out there who can give her a quiet, loving home for as long as she may have.
