* Kelly and Jan found their forever home together! Yay! *

A large number of budgies were surrendered to a Quebec shelter by their owner. We were able to take in six of the budgies, and our friends at All Creatures Rescue were also able to take some in.
These feathered friends arrived in Ontario with help from No Paw Left Behind and Freedom Drivers. Big thank you to all the volunteers in these groups who help shelter animals find their way to freedom!

Angelo, Jan, Phyllis, Erin, Kelly and Pam received a clean bill of health at their vet visit, and now they’re ready for their forever homes! We are asking that they be adopted in pairs or trios.

We were initially under the impression that all the budgies were female, but because of their young age, it’s harder to tell. We do believe Angelo is a male. We have not DNA tested the budgies, so we cannot guarantee their genders. If an adopter ends up with male and female budgies, we recommend not providing a nest in their enclosure, and removing any eggs immediately. They can be replaced with dummy eggs to discourage laying.
