Elliot
*Elliot has found a wonderful family. We’re so happy for you, Elliot!!
Elliot was surrendered to a shelter in Quebec. We weren’t told the reason he was surrendered, but we’re glad he was. Elliot’s fur was urine stained, he was missing patches of fur, and his feet were red and inflamed. Poor guy clearly wasn’t very well looked after.
The amazing volunteers at Freedom Drivers got Elliot to us safely from Quebec.
Despite everything Elliot had been through, he’s the sweetest pig! He loves head scritches, and will even flop over for his foster familly for more pets. What a darling little guy!
We had Elliot neutered, and he did great for the surgery. He’s now all healed up, and ready for his forever home!
Guinea pigs are herd animals, so we’d like Elliot to find a forever home with one or more other pigs. Elliot is not a fan of being picked up (like most guinea pigs) but he’s very friendly and relaxed when he has all four feet on the ground. He loves hanging out on laps and receiving pets. And he loves to explore when he gets time out of his enclosure. Favourite snacks are romaine lettuce and dandelion leaves.
Please adopt Elliot!
Guinea pigs need much more room than the typical pet store guinea pig cages offer. Here are some websites that have great examples of the type of cages pigs can live happily in, so that they have lots of room to move around and explore:

Can’t adopt but want to help? Monetary donations are always needed, but donations of Oxbow Guinea Pig food, Oxbow “Natural Science” Vitamin C tablets, timothy hay, small animal chew toys, fleece liners and Guinea Dad fleece cage liners are very much appreciated!
