Thelma
* After almost two years in their foster home, Thelma and Louise have finally found their forever home! Woo hoo! *
Thelma and Louise were left behind in an apartment when their owner moved out. They were beyond frightened when they were brought to Hamilton Animal Services and it took quite a while for them to learn to trust the staff there. The shelter had Thelma and Louise spayed, and after a few months, we were finally able to rescue this bunny pair and place them into a loving foster home.
These two adorable girls were given a clean bill of health at their vet visit, and now they’re ready to find their forever home! We’re asking they be adopted as a pair.
Thelma and Louise are a lot of fun. They come running to greet you whenever you come into the room, and they’ll nudge your legs with their noses to say hello. When they know it’s snack time, they’ll both stand up on their hind legs to get a better look at what veggies you have to offer. It’s very cute!
They are currently living cage-free in a large, rabbit proofed room, and they love having all the space to run and play. We are hoping their forever home can offer them the same free-roaming life. They both use their litter consistently, other than a few stray poops here and there.
It took Thelma and Louise a little while to realize that human touch is not a bad thing, and they now willingly accept all the pets! Like most rabbits, they don’t want to be picked up, but their foster family are helping them through their fears for times when they do need to be picked up, like for nail trims.
They’re really lovely bunnies who very much deserve a forever home!
Please adopt Thelma and Louise!
* Thelma has been vaccinated against Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease (RHDV).

Rabbits need lots of space…
Our fostered rabbits are housed in x-pens or similar enclosures so they have lots of room to move around when they aren’t out for floor time. Some of our rabbits are free range in their foster home.
Commercially made pet store rabbit cages are far too small to allow rabbits to stretch out and move around with ease. Here are some examples of great enclosures, and rooms set up for free roaming bunnies.
